This afternoon’s meeting at Leicester goes ahead as planned while Down Royal has also got the green light.
Officials had called a precautionary inspection for 7.45am due to the threat of rain, but were able to give the go-ahead slightly earlier than expected.
The ground is reported to be heavy on the hurdles track and soft, heavy on the Flat course crossings, for the chase course.
Meanwhile, this afternoon’s meeting at Down Royal also goes ahead after the track was declared fit for action.
Officials had been concerned by the prospect of overnight snow and freezing temperatures, calling a precautionary inspection for 8am.
However, they were able to give the go-ahead before that planned check.
The track tweeted: “Racing goes ahead, some showers forecast, possibly of snow.”
