Mumbai Indians versus Chennai Super Kings to kick off 2018 IPL season

Defending IPL champions Mumbai Indians will kick off the 2018 season against Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, April 7.

Sky Sports will show exclusive live coverage of the 60-match tournament, having announced a new multi-year broadcast deal in January.

Mumbai beat Rising Pune Supergiant by one run in the 2017 final to win the title for a third time, while two-time champions Chennai are back in the IPL after a two-year ban for illegal betting.

Delhi Daredevils will play Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in a double-header on Sunday, April 8.

Rajasthan Royals, whose squad features Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, will begin their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, April 9.

There will be 13 double-header days in total, all taking place on Saturdays and Sundays, while the final will be held at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, May 27.
